We are able to offer children's work and housegroup and our Sunday meeting location is a safe and secure environment. We usually hang around for quite a while after the service to chat and enjoy the coffee/tea etc from the modern kitchen....
For the family facing trauma ..for the father diagnosed with cancer...for the woman struggling to conceive...for the young girl struggling to keep up with lifes challenges...for the thousands who maybe have lost jobs and life savings....There is HOPE.
The Bible says that each of us were created by God...that he loves us and that he wants us to have a fulfilling life. "I have come that you might have life and have it abundantly", Jesus says. He means a life that goes beyond mere existence to a fulfilling life lived in harmony with the creators knowledge of us and his desires for us.
But there is something that separates us from this abundant life that God intended. The Bible says "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." It's because of this disobedience toward God that every person is separated from him. Even worse is the consequence of sin - eternal separation from God - "The cost of sin is death".
BUT HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS...God sent his sin-less Son JESUS to pay the price for our sins. Almost 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ died on a cross, was buried and then rose from the dead on the third day. It is only through his death that we can be reconciled to God. And through his death and resurection he offers the free gift of eternal life to all who believe in him.
God offers this hope to you today: Talk to God in words like these:
"Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. Thank you for sending Jesus to suffer the punishment that I deserve for my sins. I turn from my sinful life and now want to follow you. Please come into my life and help me to live for you from now on. Thank you for the gift of Eternal life and for the hope I now have in you. Amen"
